GREAT WHITE (DVD) shark swims up river to attack the town

We dug up a stinker this week - they can't all be winners I guess. For the fans of killer shark movies only - beware........

GREAT WHITE (1998)

A summer school teacher finds out one of his students was killed while fishing with his dog. When the local sheriff suggests that a mountain lion is responsible for the death, the teacher isn't so sure.

An old drunk spots a shark in the river and he runs into the bar to tell everyone, but no one believes him. When the teacher gets wind of this information, he concludes that a killer shark in the area is not out of the question. It isn't long before the shark attacks again and sends the town in a panic.

This low budget JAWS rip-off might take the cake as the worst killer shark film ever made. Released as Jaws '98 in Japan, this film was shot in 12 days with a script written in a week for Japanese investors that were looking for shark movies to help fill the video store shelves.

AKA - INSECT
