Here is a pretty crazy flick that we dug up lately. It stars the late, great Robert Ginty of Exterminator fame and has him running around Thailand shooting the place up. Not only is this a rare film to begin with, we found an amazing WIDESCREEN print that ensures you never miss any periphery action.........
GOLD RAIDERS (1983)
An SOS message is sent out when a plane carrying $200 million dollars worth of gold is brought down somewhere in Thailand. A special agent (Cop Target's Robert Ginty) is called upon to head up a small squad that includes his old girlfriend and infiltrate enemy lines to recover the gold.
Disguised as local fishermen, the group start their mission by taking a boat up the river to where they think the plane crashed. Along the way they catch a monster fish, have scuba-diving fights, fend off vampire bats, and square of against a mad communist commander that is obsessed with finding the gold for himself. But our hero has a secret weapon: a flying motorcycle equipped with missiles and powered by crystal fuel cells!
This entertaining jungle action/adventure is a mix between James Bond and Rambo with an international cast and a lots of local Thai spice thrown in for good flavor. The combination of hilarious badly dubbed dialogue and high body count using juicy squibs makes for an unforgettable viewing experience that is so bad you have to love it.
